The hope is to gain momentum and influence as it evolves. Although there is no fixed deadline for the Campaign, officials hope it will peak on December 1, 2005 - the 50th anniversary of Mrs. Parks refusal to give up her seat on the bus that fateful day, the spark that ignoted momentum on the Civil Rights Movement. With Mrs. Parks again involved, this campaign offers millions of Americans the opportunity to actively participate in the nations ongoing struggle to end hate and racism.
The Center will send individuals who sign up to join the Campaign:
- A Citizens Action Kit containing the Centers newest publications
- 101 Tools for Tolerance
- Ten Ways to fight Hate
- Declaration of Tolerance
